Pay a Person

Send money to anyone electronically via our website or app. Initial set-up takes a few minutes, but will be worth the time you save later!   


Get Started from Your PC

To make a P2P payment, you must be enrolled in Internet banking. People you are paying do not need to be Clear Lake Bank & Trust customers. Set-up is required only once per payee. Next:

  • Login to Internet banking and click the Bill Pay tab.

  • Click Pay a Person and choose to send money by email.

  • Enter Payee Information (requires Payee email, phone number, nickname and account you want to debit from. Nickname appears on Payee email, so be nice!)

  • Create a keyword for your Payee (not case-sensitive). You will need to share this keyword with your Payee.

  • A one-time activation code is required to set up a Payee. Select your preferred method to deliver the activation code (email or phone). Retrieve and enter the activation code. 

  • Once activated, the Payee will appear on your dashboard.

  • Enter amount to pay and date (if after 2:00 pm you will need to use the next business day), click pay.

  • Payment will not be processed until Payee receives an email to accept your payment. They will need the keyword, their routing number, and account number to complete this step.

Get Started from Your Phone

To make a P2P payment from your phone, you must be enrolled in Internet banking and have the Clear Lake Bank & Trust app downloaded on your device. People you are paying do not need to be Clear Lake Bank & Trust customers. The set-up process needs to be done only once per payee.

  • Login to our app.

  • Go to Menu/Pay a Person.

  • Manager Payees/Add a Payee/Pay a Person/Email.

  • Enter Payee information (requires Payee email, phone number, nickname and account to debit from. Nickname used will appear on the Payee email, so be nice!)

  • Create a keyword for your Payee (not case-sensitive). You will need to share this keyword with your Payee.

  • Payee added successfully, needs activation.

  • Go to Manage Payee.

  • Activate a Payee.

  • Select a Payee to activate.

  • Select your preferred method to deliver the activation code (email or phone). Retrieve and enter the activation code.

  • Payee added successfully.

  • Select one-time payment.

  • Select Payee, account to debit, amount, date, memo (optional). Pay bill.

  • Bill payment scheduled. Confirmation # will appear.
