AMANDA CROWELL Loan Assistant Officer
Amanda joined CLB&T in 2007 with six years of previous banking experience. During her time at the bank, she has worked in various roles throughout the organization, in teller operations, customer service, personal banking and consumer lending. With her experience in diverse roles, she brings an extensive wealth of information and knowledge to her customers and colleagues. Amanda graduated from the Iowa Bankers Leadership Institute in 2019. Amanda is a member of Mission Thornton and has volunteered in several ways for United Way, most recently joining their Community Impact Team. She is also on the NIACC Foundation Board of Directors.

AMY BEENKEN
Controller
Amy Beenken joined CLB&T in May 2023 after working for 14 years in public accounting as a licensed CPA. She graduated from Simpson College with a BA in Accounting, Finance, and Spanish. Amy is the volunteer treasurer for Central Gardens of North Iowa. She lives in Clear Lake with her husband, Jared, and three children.

ASHLEY UPMEYER Assistant Vice President, Business Banking
Ashley began her career with CLB&T in 2011 as a loan assistant. She has been involved with several roles in the business banking department moving to Credit Analyst in 2017, then taking on a loan portfolio in 2022. Ashley was promoted to AVP in 2025 and works with a blended portfolio of business and ag customers. Ashley has been involved with several Garner and Clear Lake area community projects and previously served as a First Mate with the Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce. Ashley holds a BA from the University of Minnesota and is a Graduate of the Iowa Bankers Commercial Lending School in 2022. She lives in Garner with her husband and three children.

BRIGITTE WILKINS
Mortgage Loan Officer
Brigitte Wilkins began with CLB&T in 2013 and holds nearly 14 years of experience in all aspects of the real estate lending industry. She is experienced in processing, underwriting, and mortgage lending. She serves as Secretary/Treasurer of the Executive Committee of the Crisis Intervention Board. She also serves on the Community Kitchen Board as well as part of the Habitat for Humanity Credit Committee. Brigitte is a graduate of North Iowa Area Community College and Buena Vista University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, and Business Management. She is a Mason City native and resides there with her husband and four children.

CHRIS HAUGE HR Officer
Chris Hauge has been part of CLB&T’s human resources team since 2016. She has a bachelor’s degree in Management with a Human Resources emphasis from the University of Northern Iowa. Chris also holds her certified professional (SHRM-CP) designation through the Society for Human Resource Management. For the past several years she has served in various board positions for the SHRM North Iowa chapter and has most recently joined the planning team for Bash at the Lake. Chris lives in Clear Lake with her husband and three children.

COURTNEY BAKER Assistant Vice President / Retail Branch Manager
Courtney joined CLB&T in 2014 as Teller and has worked in several roles in Retail banking since, including personal banking and consumer lending. She has been a Retail Branch Manager in our Mason City Downtown Office since 2023. Courtney is a graduate of Buena Vista University with her BA in Organizational Leadership. Courtney is a board member for Good Shepherd Health Center and My Happy Place, and volunteers for Meals on Wheels and the United Way’s Community Impact Team.

COURTNEY WEISKAMP Personal Banking Officer
Courtney joined Clear Lake Bank & Trust as a Personal Banker with 10 years of customer service experience and 3 years of prior banking experience. Courtney serves on the United Way of North Iowa Board of Directors, Vice President for Garner Chamber and Treasurer for Hancock County Foundation. She is a graduate of North Iowa Area Community College and Buena Vista University. She has a bachelor’s in business administration and a minor in accounting. Courtney enjoys coaching girls’ youth and high school basketball. Courtney lives in Garner with her husband and three daughters.

DREW WALSWICK Treasury Management Officer
Drew Walswick serves as Treasury Management Officer, partnering with business clients to provide customized cash management solutions that improve efficiency and support growth. He is focused on building strong relationships and delivering responsive, personalized service. Born and raised in Mason City, Drew is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa. He is passionate about supporting the communities he serves and has been actively involved in local volunteer efforts, including the Clear Lake Jaycees, and a Clear Lake Chamber First Mate (Ambassador), where he was honored as First Mate of the Year in 2025.

JENNA TUTTLE Mortgage Loan Officer
Jenna joins CLB&T in 2020 as a Mortgage Processor with prior experience in banking. In 2025, she was promoted to Mortgage Lending Officer, and is now building relationships in our local Garner area.
Jenna is on the Garner Rotary, and volunteers at many Garner activities. Her main goal is to make your experience with Clear Lake Bank & Trust smooth and enjoyable. She enjoys building relationships with our customers and being a part of making their dream of buying a home come true.

JILLIAN MCINTIRE Wire Transfer Manager
Jillian joined CLB&T in 2023 as a Retail Branch Manager. Prior to joining Clear Lake Bank & Trust, Jillian worked at another financial institution for 16 years as a Teller, Teller Supervisor, and held the position of Head of Retail Sales. Jillian is a 2016 graduate of the Iowa Bankers Association Consumer Credit School, and a 2018 graduate of the Iowa School of Banking. Jillian is a member of the CARES After Prom Committee, a previous member of the Mason City Noon Lions Club, is a member of the Clear Lake Rotary and enjoys volunteering for concession stands at various sporting events. Jillian is located in our Clear Lake location.

JONI PEPPER Assistant Vice President, Ag & Business Banking
A graduate of Iowa State University with a BS in Agricultural Business, Joni joined CLB&T in 2022 as a Commercial & Ag Lender in our Garner location. Prior to becoming a lender, Joni worked in a business development role in North Iowa with the Iowa Corn Growers Association. Growing up on her family farm in Southeast Iowa, she truly enjoys helping farmers and local businesses meet their goals. Joni's community involvement includes the Hancock County Farm Bureau Board of Directors, Garner Rotary, Tri Clear Lake Planning Committee, youth leader at Zion Lutheran Church and Past President of the Clear Lake Jaycees.

KARA RUGE Director of Marketing & PR
Kara Ruge joined CLB&T in 2020 and holds nearly 20 years of experience in the marketing industry. She is involved with the River City Noon Kiwanis, the MacNider Art Museum Board Board of Trustees and their Foundation as well. She is also a member of the Jefferson Elementary School PTO. She is a past president of the United of North Central Iowa Board, and past secretary on the North Iowa Figure Skating Club Board. An Iowa State grad, Kara resides in Mason City with her husband and three children.

KEVIN HENNESSEY Mortgage Loan Officer
Kevin Hennessy joined the consumer loan team in Clear Lake in 2019 with 8 years of experience in processing, underwriting, mortgage, and leadership experience. Kevin is a graduate of NIACC and the University of Northern Iowa and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Kevin is involved in Clear Lake Noon Lions, River City Barbershop Choir, is a board member for the Mason City YMCA and an advisory board member for the Iowa Banker’s Association Consumer Lending School.

LIBBY MCCARTHY Digital Marketing Officer
After a couple summer internships with CLB&T and 7 years of work experience in marketing and public relations, Libby McCarthy joined our marketing team in 2025. Libby is a Clear Lake native and graduate of the University of Southern California with a Masters in Strategic Public Relations. She also holds a BA in Journalism and Graphic Design from the University of Iowa. She lives in Minneapolis with her husband and son.

LISA ASBE Retail Branch Manager
Lisa Asbe is a native of North Iowa. Growing up on a farm outside of Manly, Lisa attended North Central High School followed by graduating with an associate's degree in criminal law at NIACC. Lisa comes to CLB&T with 12 years of banking experiences holding many roles during that time. She's worked in customer service, personal banking, and management positions. Currently, Lisa lives in Clear Lake with her husband, Jason, and two children, Kaydon and Carson.

MACKENZEE EBELING Universal Banking Officer
Mackenzee Ebeling began with CLB&T in 2016 with four years of financial services experience. She was promoted to Customer Service Supervisor and at the end of 2020 became a Personal Banker. In 2025, Mackenzee was promote to Universal Banking Officer. She offers assistance in accounts and fraud services. Mackenzee is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and a minor in Political Science. She is a Mason City resident with her husband and three children.

Mike joined CLB&T in 2023 and holds over 10 years of experience in banking. Mike is a graduate of the University of Iowa. He is also a graduate of the Iowa Banker's Association Commercial Lending School as well as the Iowa School of Banking. He currently serves as the Treasurer for Main Street Mason City.

MORGAN SMUCK Trust Operations Officer
As a graduate of Garner-Hayfield High School and Iowa State University (ISU), Morgan began her career at Clear Lake Bank & Trust as a Teller Intern in 2015. After graduating from ISU, she transitioned to the Trust Department as a Trust Assistant in 2016. She is the current President of the Clear Lake Jaycees, serves as member of the United Way of North Central Iowa’s Community Impact Teams, and volunteers with Meals on Wheels and Habitat for Humanity.

RYAN VAN OSTRAND
Business Banking Officer
Ryan began his banking career with CLB&T in 2023. His prior experience in the financial services industry provided a strong understanding of business operations, which transferred well into the commercial lending space. Ryan serves as Treasurer for the United Way of North Central Iowa, and is a participant in the Lake Leadership Committee with the Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce. Ryan is a graduate of Northwestern College holding a B.A. of Mathematics and Computer Science. Ryan became a CFA Charterholder in 2025. He lives in Mason City with his wife, Haley, and his children, Ophelia and River.

A Clear Lake native, Sue Price has been a member of the CLB&T team since 1998. TAMARA ORTE Assistant Vice President, Internal Audit Officer
Tammy Orte is the bank's internal audit officer and has been with CLB&T since July 2006. Tammy is responsible for audit and accounting activities of the bank. Tammy was promoted to Assistant Vice President in 2023. Tammy earned her BA in accounting from Monmouth College in Monmouth Illinois and an AA from Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg Illinois. She is involved in Clear Lake Noon Rotary, Daughters of the American Revolution, and serves on the Clear Lake Library Foundation Board & Board of Trustees, Clear Lake Historical Society Board, and the Friends of the Library Board.

TONY KLINE Compliance Officer
Tony Kline started as CLB&T’s Compliance Officer in 2026. He holds bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Business Administration from Graceland University and an MBA from Drake University. A Belmond native, he has over twenty years of experience in the banking industry, primarily in the Compliance/Risk/Audit space. Tony currently lives in Ankeny with his wife, Abbie.

Tyler Wei CLB&T Insurance & Financial Services as an insurance agent since 2013. In 2021, he was promoted to Insurance Officer. Tyler's community involvement includes serving at the president of the Clear Lake Noon Lions, and the treasurer for the Clear Lake Jaycees. He is also a member of the Clear Lake High School Booster Club. |
